Myers: Officially no longer a wife-beater

We talked about Phillies pitcher Brett Myers back in June, when he smacked his wife on a Boston street. Now his wife has decided to drop the charges:
In a sharply worded statement, District Attorney Daniel F. Conley criticized the judge's decision, which falls during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, saying his office was "deeply disappointed that a Boston Municipal Court judge used his discretionary authority to simultaneously affirm that a man beat his wife on a public street and deny our efforts to hold him responsible."

Kim Myers was quoted as saying therapy helped a lot. No quotes from Brett. He's still a jerk.

And in a future headline:

"Tigers Sweep the Mets in the World Series."

By the way, I am home in less then a week.

Talk to you soon, (Also, what the heck is up with the handicap symbol next to the word verification block - are they saying that only handicap people need to verify there identity - damn spammers. This sounds awefully discriminatory.)
